A voluntary board of management oversees the work of ASRA. Our board compromises a mixture of people including local people from communities, and housing and other professionals. We also have a tenant representative on our board. The board is responsible for providing strategic guidance, maintaining overall financial control and ensuring that ASRA staff are running the association effectively.
Our day-to-day workis led by a senior management team of trained, paid staff which consists of:
Asit Acharya Managing Director
Asit has overall responsibility for the implementation and delivery of all services to tenants and residents, innovation in customer services, the management and maintenance of our homes, and tenant and resident involvement. His paramount objective is to ensure continuous improvements in the quality of service we provide to our 3,000 customers.
Heading up the ASRA senior management team, Asit is also a member of the LHA-ASRA group management team.
Mukhtar Latif Group Development Director
Mukhtar has overall responsibility for the delivery of the development programme in London and the Home Counties.
Working across the group in identifying new opportunities and areas of growth, the team delivers high quality affordable housing, meeting local and regional needs.
Mukhtar is a member of the LHA-ASRA group management team.
He is also a member of the London Housing Federation development group and is currently chairing a research project on improving Diversity in Development
Richard d’Cruz Head of Development
Richard manages a team of 13 staff, delivering the new supply of homes in the Greater London region. This includes affordable rent, shared ownership and homes for outright sale.
He oversees delivery of our development strategy, liaison with partner developers, consultants, local authorities and funding bodies.
Richard’s development team is currently preparing for the next Housing Corporation bidding round which will secure grant funding for the next three years.
Kiron Mahal Head of Housing
Kiron heads our housing management operations and service delivery to all general needs tenants and residents. This further includes our women’s refuge services. Kiron ensures that all residents receive and benefit from the very highest standards of service and communication. She is a member of the ASRA Corporate Management Group.
Manna Santokhee Head of Care and Sheltered Housing
Manna is responsible for the provision of care and support to the association’s sheltered housing tenants, residents in their care homes, service users in the day centre and other supported housing projects, and also tenants with support needs.
Kiumars Kiani Head of Property Services
Kiumars leads our repairs and maintenance functions and manages service delivery operations to all customers. This also comprises repairs and maintenance of building services and gas installations of all ASRA properties.
He is a member of the ASRA Corporate Management Group.
Alnasir Jamal Interim Finance Director
Alnasir runs the finance department heading a team of four. He is currently managing the move of all finance processes to the LHA-ASRA Group head office in Leicester.
Emma Macnish Senior HR Advisor
Emma manages a team of ten staff and is the senior HR advisor for the LHA–ASRA Group.
She is the lead HR advisor to ASRA, dealing with all day-to-day HR issues at ASRA House.
Emma is based at the LHA-ASRA Group head office in Leicester and has worked for the organisation since 2002.
The senior management team reports to the ASRA board.
