Sample Projects

CASE STUDY 1: Scotts Road, Ealing

The award-winning housing scheme has breathed new life into a community with a broad ethnic and cultural population.

With 24 flats and seven family homes, this £4.4 million development features a large central courtyard promoting a

neighbourly atmosphere, a children’s play area, well-lit exteriors, anti-graffiti paint and a secure-door entry system.

Four of the properties are ‘Lifetime Homes’ which can be adapted for residents with mobility needs, and two of the flats have been specially designed for wheelchair users.

CASE STUDY 2: Leabridge Road, Leyton

A disused car showroom in Leyton has made way for a development of new affordable homes for local people.

The former forecourt and showroom had stood empty for several months, but now the £3.5 million development of 55 apartments is complete.

The majority of the new homes are available for shared ownership, allowing people the opportunity to gain a foothold on the property ladder by buying a minimum 40% share in their home, and renting the remainder.

The development has brought a redundant site back into use and put home ownership within reach of local people who would otherwise be priced out of the property market.

CASE STUDY 3: Grand Union Village, Ealing/Hillingdon.

This flagship urban village comprises over 700 homes and is a ground-breaking development in the heart of the city.

Ranging from one bedroom apartments to six bedroom houses, the mix of accommodation offers affordable homes, properties dedicated to key workers, and additional houses developed for low cost ownership.

The development boasts a strong sense of community with integrated shops, restaurants and leisure facilities.

The homes will be available for shared ownership, open market sale and affordable rent. Contractor, The Purelake Group is scheduled to complete the development in September 2008.

CASE STUDY 2: Ealing Road, Wembley

The site of a former public house in Wembley is to make way for a number of stunning new affordable apartments and commercial units available for local people.

The Alpine Horn pub on Ealing Road had stood empty for several months before the site was acquired by ASRA.

Construction by Hertfordshire based Bugler Developments is underway with completion scheduled for November 2008.

The development will offer 37 one, two and three bedroom homes for both general needs rent and sale through shared ownership.

CASE STUDY 3: Elmgrove House, Plumstead

Construction of a £25 million development to turn a disused nursing home in Plumstead, south east London, into 119 high quality affordable homes has begun.

New homes will include four-bedroom duplexes, as well as one, two and three-bedroom apartments.

The development will include 50% affordable housing, outright sale and commercial space with two areas of commercial floor space for shops, restaurants and cafes.
