We are required to ensure that your home has an Annual Gas Safety Check on all gas appliances supplied by the association and associated flues. Once this check is completed you will receive a Gas Safety Certificate that is valid for 12 months.
The regular servicing of gas appliances certifies gas safety, gives peace of mind and saves you money on your fuel bills by ensuring gas appliances work efficiently.
We have commissioned an experienced service contractor TSG Building Services to carry out this service on our behalf. Their duties include:
- Annual service and safety check of all gas appliances installed and owned by ASRA
- Breakdown cover of all gas central heating systems
- Visual inspection of gas cookers
It’s important that you keep the appointment made to carry out this essential safety check. If the appointment made is unsuitable for you we will gladly rearrange to a more convenient date and time.
To rearrange an appointment please call TSG Building Services on: 0800 953 1229
As a landlord we have a legal responsibility to all our tenants that every property that requires a valid gas certificate has one. This means that legal action could be taken to gain access and ensure that we comply with The Gas Safety Regulations 1998.
We are keen to ensure a high level of service delivery and will work with our customers and contractor to try and ensure first time access for the Gas Engineer is achieved.

The Gas Safe Register
Gas Safe Register™ is the registration body appointed by the Health and Safety Executive to manage the gas safety register in Great Britain from 1 April 2009. It is a legal requirement for anyone carrying out domestic and commercial gas work to be registered, and comply with the Gas Safety (Installation & Use) Regulations 1998.
The register of gas engineers held by Gas Safe Register is there to protect people from dangerous gas work. Gas Safe Register will assess the competence of individual engineers by inspecting the gas work they have carried out. They will do this to make sure engineers are safe to work on gas. Gas Safe Register is focused on gas safety and will campaign to raise awareness of gas safety risks associated with using illegal gas installers.
Gas Safe Register is a brand name owned by the Health and Safety Executive and used by Capita Gas Registration and Ancillary Services Limited, a division of the Capita Group Plc.
