Get Involved

PeopleWe are committed to giving you the opportunity to have your say in how ASRA homes are managed, and influence the way we work.

Your input is vital in helping us continue to improve our services.

As you will see below, there are a number of options available to you, because we want to involve as many of our customers as possible.

That means people of all ages and backgrounds, people living on their own, in families, or in retirement housing.

We provide free training, and pay all out of pocket expenses.  Residents who have got involved have found it can help them increase their confidence and develop their skills.  It can be a great way to meet others, and a stepping stone to other opportunities.

To find out more about getting involved, call us on: 020 7940 6612.

Tenant associations

Tenant associations are set up and run by local residents to represent the views of their community.  We will consult with tenant associations where they exist, and support the development of new ones.

If you’re interested in joining or setting up a group, contact your local housing officer.

We also support residents who want to set up or get involved in groups to improve the quality of life in local communities, such as environmental and neighbourhood watch initiatives.

Tenant Advisory Panel (TAP)

By joining TAP, you can influence and discuss issues relating to the management and delivery of our services in your area.  Panel members meet four times a year to suggest ideas for improvements.

Operations Performance Committee

Membership of this committee, which carefully monitors our overall performance in the delivery of services, is open to any tenant.  You need to be a Tenant Advisory Panel member (see above) before you can be nominated. By sitting on this committee, your views will influence the way our services are delivered to tenants.

Estate inspectors

We have recently launched a new scheme encouraging tenants to become local Inspectors.

If you would like to get involved and work closely with other residents to improve your local community let us know.

Inspectors take regular walks around their local area, identifying any problems and highlighting where improvements can be made.
